Happy 16th

Image
Hello My Crafty Friends Welcome to My Blog! On my blog today is a birthday card I created for our grandson - hard to believe he is 16 and his sister 18 time does fly.  My card was created using some of Joset's latest releases 4th of July, Blackboard Numbers along with her Stitched Stars, Words 1 - Celebrate and General Pop Ups .  I also used Susan's Garden Earth & Sky Stencil . Here is how card was created. Step 1   Form 6" X 6" card base.  Emboss card front with embossing folder of your choice I used stars. Step 2   Cut white Soft Finish Cardstock 5-3/4" X 11-1/2" score @ 5-3/4" fold on score line.  Using Susan's CountryScapes Earth Sky Stencil add clouds and grass with Distress Inks and sponge. Step 3   Use largest pop up die from Elizabeth Craft Designs General Pop Ups Die set to cut pop up in center fold.  Work pop up folds.   Add Clear Double Sided Adhesive to back staying away from the pop up areas.  Adhere to inside o...

Christmas Projects

Image
Hi there welcome to my blog thanks for stopping by today. Today I am posting a few Christmas projects that I just finished up.  Hard to believe that Christmas is just 3 weeks away YIKES!    I did the Snowman marshmallow pops for a friend's daycare, the Hershey nugget treats for work and the ornaments for gifts.  The ornaments are the only things I actually designed myself as the snowmen I saw on Facebook and the candy treats we did at our Close to My Heart Stamp of the Month group. The snowman pops I saw on Facebook had a nose glued on as well as buttons down the stick but since mine were for a day care with little ones I opted to use just Sharpie markers. The Hershey nugget treats were fun I wrote winner under candy on one and that person won an ornament. The ornaments are a sweet reminder of my childhood when my Dad brought home the half balls with scenes inside - I still have the 2 that survived which are probably 60 years old now.  They were made using Susan...

Witch's Brew

Image
Hello my crafty friends welcome to my blog today.  Well it is officially fall and Halloween is fast approaching so my post today is a Halloween card that I have designed using Susan's CountryScapes Build A Witch die set.  There are 2 witches in the die set and I could not decide which witch (hehehe) to use so I decided to design a card that used both. Here is how the card was created.  Card base is black glitter paper cut 12" X 7" scored at 6" folded on score line to form 7" X 6" card so both witches would fit. Cut orange cardstock 6-3/4" X 5-3/4" adhere to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive. Cut white Soft Finish Cardstock 6-1/2" X 5-1/2" .  Cut circle approximately 2-1/2" from scrap paper (just a mask for moon) add removable adhesive to back place on white cardstock where you would like your moon to be.  Using Distress Oxide re-inkers place a few drops Spiced Marmalade, Wilted Violet, Wild Honey and just a couple...

Snowman Trimming Tree Tag

Image
Hello Everyone thank you for stopping by today hope everyone had a good Christmas.  We certainly did.  Always enjoy the time that we can spend with family and friends. Today my post is a Christmas gift tag that I made for a dear friend of mine.  Here is how I did it.  Using Els van de Burgt's Tags & More 3 Leaves die set and white cardstock cut 1 tag base. From navy cardstock cut tag with leaves at top and the snowflake corner from Els Tags & More 9 Sparkle  at the bottom (you will have to run tag through 3 times in order to get all 3 snowflakes cut at bottom).  Attach to white tag base using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.  ( Avoid getting adhesive in cut out areas) Cut tree using Susan's CountryScapes Woods 4 Holiday Evergreens & Trimmings and green cardstock.  Cut the tree height down to fit tag - you want it a little taller than the snowman.  From off white cardstock cut garland 7 times (the off white gives it...

In The Woods

Image
Hello Everyone welcome to my blog.  Today my post is something a little different. Instead of making a card I decided to make something  decorative and use some of Susan's CountryScapes die sets.  The first picture is shown without the glass dome so it is easier to see. This is a picture with the glass dome over it photo is not great but it was very hard to photograph due to the glare on the glass. Here is how it was constructed Cut 30 - 36 trees (I cut just the top 3-3-1/2" of tree) from green cardstock using Susan's CountryScapes Holiday Evergreens & Trimmings die set.  Fold up all the branches on each tree add Kid's Choice Glue to the back of tree adhere to tooth pick.  add 3 trees to each tooth pick which gives you a dimensional tree.   You should have 10-12 dimensional trees when done. Cut 4 deer using light brown cardstock and deer die from Susan's CountryScapes Critters 3 -   2 of the deer should but cut from brown cardstock that ha...

Sweet Magnolia & Lavender

Image
Hello my crafty friends.  Today I am posting a card I made for a dear friend who lost her sister recently.  My card is 6" X 6" top fold and uses Susan's Garden Notes - Southern Magnolia, CountryScapes Lavender and Mini Botanicals - Clematis & Ivy along with Els Dotted Scallop Squares. Here is how I created this card:  Cut white Soft Finish Cardstock 6" X 12" score at 6" fold on score line.  Cut purple cardstock 5-3/4" square. Using white cardstock and largest die from Els' Dotted Scallop Squares die set cut 1 scalloped square.  Ink all edges on all these pieces using ink color of your choice. (Vintage Photo Distress Ink used here). Assemble using Clear Double Sided Adhesive. For heart wreath either draw out heart shape on cardstock or if you have heart dies you can cut heart using the die.  (You want it to be approximately 5".) Using largest leaf die from Susan's Garden Notes - Southern Magnolia and green cardstock cut ap...
