Gilded Diamond with Poinsettia

Image
Hello my crafty friends, Today I have a card I created using Susan Tierney-Cockburn 's technique from last week using the gilding flakes.  She did a background I have chosen to do an accent piece - a diamond.  Fun technique although a bit messy. Card base is 5" X 7" from 110# white cardstock.  Mat was cut from copper cardstock 4-3/4" X 6-3/4" then embossed.  Bearly Art Glue was used to attach to card front. Using Spellbinders S5-525 Essential Diamonds die set I used largest, skipped next size then used next size taped 2 dies together and cut 3 times from white cardstock to make diamond frame.  For the diamond accent piece I used gold, copper and a little silver gilding flakes.  You can find Susan's how to video here      I die cut the diamond using the next to the largest die from Essential Diamonds .  I attached to another diamond cut from white cardstock using largest die.  Frame was attached to accent piece using Bearly Art Glue then attached to card

Hello My Crafty Friends, Today I have a great card for someone that likes to give a gift card.  It is really easy and fun to make.  This card is a 5" X 7" but could be adapted for another size.  Susan Tierney-Cockburn did this a couple weeks ago on her Facebook Live Susan's Garden Club . Link to card base found here. Card front has Carta Bella Paper - Fresh Floral CBGH143002 cut 4-3/4" X 6-3/4" adhered to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive .  White cardstock was cut 4" X 6" then embossed using 3D Embossing Folder by Lisa Horton - Botanical Fern then adhered to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive . My card is decorated with Spellbinders Susan's Garden Club Tea Rose S6-176 from Summer Flora Release along with Eucalyptus S4-1079 Autumn Flora Release .  Susan has YouTube videos that walk you through creating these.  My roses were cut from Susan's Specialty Paper and colored using Copic R20 and R 22 .  The Eucalyptus and

Hello my crafty friends! Today I have a fun card for you.  Not sure what to call it but the video I watched  was Hexagon Acetate Card and yes they used hexagon nesting dies but I decided to use Spellbinders new Essential Diamonds S5-525 .  This card is larger than I normally do and I will change size the next time I create the card as this one is 8" wide. You can use pretty much any shape nesting dies to create this card.  Here is a link to YouTube video , After creating card base per the YouTube video I created  Spellbinders Susan's Garden - Poinsettia  S4-1109 , Winterberry S4-1113 , Winter Bough & Evergreen Shrubs S4-1114 all from last years Holiday Collection and Winter Evergreen Foliage S5-515 .    Susan has YouTube videos to show how to create all of these.  For the red berries instead of using Nuvo Drops  I used little styrofoam balls colored with acrylic paint.  I put them in a reclosable baggie and squirt paint into baggie close up and squish all around until c

Hello My Crafty Friends, Today I have a few Thank You Cards that I created a couple months ago actually to thank some very special people for their kindness to me after I crashed and totaled my vehicle in May.  I was very lucky that I just had a lot of bruising.  They brought meals, flowers, gave rides and other kind deeds. Hope you enjoy looking at the cards as you can see I very much love Susan's Garden Lily of the Valley die set which many of my cards here have on them. Thanks for stopping by and until next time - Happy Crafting! Christine You only live once but if you live right once is enough! Unknown

Hello my crafty friends! Today's card is a Pinwheel Tower Card I created.  I saw onw of these cards on Facebook but I can't remember who posted the card as I always like to give credit to my inspiration.  This card is another fun and easy card to create.  The hardest part is of the whole card is deciding what you want to put on each side.  So many possibilities.  I did use Spellbinders Susan's Garden Hot Foil Tree and some White Pine branches both from newest release Winter Garden . Card base was created using YouTube video found here   Card is a slimline card 4" X 9" but she also gives measurements for other size cards. Patterned paper is once again P13 Winter Gatherings Each side was decorated differently using tags, sentiments etc. Front of card I used Spellbinders Susan's Garden White Pine from S5-515 Winter Evergreen Winter Garden Release.   The poinsettia was fussy cut from the patterned paper snow added and was added to card front using dimensi
