Basket of Paperwhites

Image
Hello my crafty friends! Today I have a slimline card for you and will say right up front I wish I had put basket at the bottom of the card as I normally would but was trying to mix things up a bit.   I created  card using Spellbinders Susan's Garden  S4-1364 Paperwhites from Winters Grace Collection along with S4-1115 Gathering Basket from Holiday Collection.     Spellbinders S6-186 Fluted Classic Slimline dies were used to cut frame.  Spellbinders / Simon Hurley E3D-080 Woven 3D Embossing Folder was used on the basket to emphasize the basket weave.  Spellbinders S4-201 (small) and S4-202 (large) Deckled Rectangle dies were used for sentiment. Card base is 4" X 9" and designer paper was cut 3-1/4" X 7-3/4" adhered to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive .  Using the 3 largest dies from the  Fluted Classic Slimline Die Set a frame was cut from green cardstock.  Bearly Art Glue was used to adhere the frame over t...

Winter Wishes Helleborus

Image
Hello My Crafty Friends, Today I have a simple card for you created using Helleborus die set and Sentiment stamp from  Spellbinders Susan's Garden newest release Winter Garden . My card is a 6" X 6" tent fold card created from white 110# cardstock. Gold cardstock was cut 5-3/4" X 5-3/4" added to card front using Bearly Art Glue . Pattern paper (P13 Cosy Winter) cut 5-1/2" X 5-1/2 " added to card front using Bearly Art Glue Sentiment from the new Winter Garden Release was stamped on white cardstock using black ink.  It was die cut from using a die set I have in my stash.  The die the next size up was used to cut gold cardstock to back the sentiment.  Bearly Art Glue was used to adhere the 2 together.  Dimensional tape used to adhere to upper right corner of card. Spellbinders Susan's Garden Gathering Basket  from Holiday Release was cut twice from brown cardstock adhered together then I embossed with an old Darice Embossing Folder - Basket Wea...

Christmas Cactus Twisted Easel

Image
Welcome to my blog my crafty friends! Today I have a Twisted Easel Card sporting Christmas Cactus and Gathering Basket from Susan's Garden Club with Spellbinders new Christmas Release. Starting with 6" X 12" white cardstock scored at 6" giving you a 6 X 6 card.  Next you want to score front of card base from lower left corner to upper right corner (you can draw a light pencil line from corner to corner as a guide then erase once scored).  See picture below. Next cut patterned paper 5-3/4" square adhere to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive .  Make sure to flatten out card front before adhering patterned paper.  Once adhered go over score line again from back side.  Fold on score line and burnish. My Spellbinders die set is an old one called Labels One but I have linked Classic Labels either one will work.  Using white cardstock cut the largest label then next size down in pattern paper attach to larger Label using Clear Double sided Adhesiv...

Life is Tough

Image
Hello My Crafty Friends, First and foremost I want to take the time to say THANK YOU to everyone on the front lines doctors, nurses, janitors, food service, grocery store employees as well as the truck drivers etc.  I hope that those that can stay home do stay home so we can get this horrible virus under control. Today I have a card that I created for a dear friend that has just been diagnosed with breast cancer which is very scary in itself but during this pandemic it is scary ten fold. A couple of weeks ago Susan's "Live" on Susan's Garden Club Facebook page had the Bells of Ireland which was intriguing as it was combining different pieces from several die sets.  Here is how I created it. Step 1 form 6" X 6" card base ( tent fold or side fold whichever your preference). Step 2  Cut white Soft Finish Cardstock 5-3/4" square.  Using shape of your choice cut shape upper left side of cardstock. ( Tonic Mixed Edge Diamond Layering Basics Die Set used here)...

Basket of Holly and Berries

Image
Welcome my crafty friends, Here today with another card I have had down for a while so not a lot of detail. Susan dies are available on Create & Craft for 1st 30 days then will be available from Tonic Studios so be patient they are coming. Today I have used Susan's Garden Gathering Basket (love that the die set comes with both the metal tub and the basket) along with her Holly and Berries. Another 6" X 6" card base from colored cardstock.  White cardstock cut 5-1/2" square then embossed. Basket cut from white cardstock twice adhere on top of each other then colored with alcohol markers adhered to card front. Made a bunch of Holly leaves and Berry Branches.  When berries are involved that is always my first step so that they will have time to dry completely while I am doing everything else.  Berries were done using Autumn Red Nuvo Drops on both sides as Susan does.  Holly cut from green cardstock then shaped and glazed.  Added to basket using Nuvo Dexluxe Adh...
