Next I cut 3 (only need 2) of the largest large Diamonds from green cardstock ( Spellbinders Essential Diamonds S5-525) and 3 white in next size down.  Sentiments stamped on 2 of the white diamonds.  White pieces were attached to green diamonds using clear double sided adhesive.  Using a clear drying liquid glue on ...

Hello My Crafty Friends, Today I have for you a Diamond Stair Stepper Card which Susan Tierney-Cockburn did on her Susan's Garden Live recently she got the idea from Sam Calcott of the UK.    My card is another survivor card although it is not for breast cancer it is for a sweet lady that I just recently met - she was my sleep study tech.  Through the evening we talked and I learned that she was a cancer survivor it was Soft Tissue Sarcoma  (yellow is color for this cancer hence the yellow rose and purple is for all cancers) which is same cancer our youngest son died of.   Sam Calcott's YouTube video for this card can be found  here To decorate the front of my card I chose Spellbinders Susan's Garden dies starting with S5-507 Floribunda Rose from Garden Gate Collection .  Rose was cut from Susan's Garden Specialty Paper , colored with Copic Y15 Cad Yellow and shaped using Susan's Garden Ultimate Tool Kit.  Susan's YouTube Video fo...

Diamond Window Survivor Card

Image
Hello my crafty friends! Wow October already where has summer gone!  As we all know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month - GO GET THOSE MAMMOGRAMS!!!  Each October I do a few survivor cards to send to breast cancer survivor people.  What better day to start this year but on World Card Day!   I started this a few years ago with a dear friend and classmate (graduated in 1968).  Over the years I went through my classmates that had survived it and added friends and acquaintances.  This makes me happy and I believe that it makes the receiver happy letting them know that just because they survived their journey isn't forgotten. My first card this year is a Diamond Window Card (I did a Christmas one a few weeks ago but it was larger 8"X 8").  I chose to do 6" X 6" so it would fit into my acrylic boxes which works just have less area for flowers. Here is a link for video I used to create my card just remember hers is 8" X 8" Find link here My card is d...

Hello My Crafty Friends, First and foremost I want to take the time to say THANK YOU to everyone on the front lines doctors, nurses, janitors, food service, grocery store employees as well as the truck drivers etc.  I hope that those that can stay home do stay home so we can get this horrible virus under control. Today I have a card that I created for a dear friend that has just been diagnosed with breast cancer which is very scary in itself but during this pandemic it is scary ten fold. A couple of weeks ago Susan's "Live" on Susan's Garden Club Facebook page had the Bells of Ireland which was intriguing as it was combining different pieces from several die sets.  Here is how I created it. Step 1 form 6" X 6" card base ( tent fold or side fold whichever your preference). Step 2  Cut white Soft Finish Cardstock 5-3/4" square.  Using shape of your choice cut shape upper left side of cardstock. ( Tonic Mixed Edge Diamond Layering Basics Die Set used here)...
