Pleated Begonia Hugs

Image
Hello My Crafty Friends! Today I have a card for you that I created using Spellbinders Susan's Garden S4-1435 Begonia from Summer Solstice Collection along with S3-516 Arrowood Viburnum from the Winter's Grace Collection.  The pleats were inspired by a card I saw on Sue's Paper Creations on Facebook.  I saw it thought I could remember how to do so but when I went to make it I made a couple errors but it turned out ok with a few extra score lines.  Here is a link to her video  (she eyeballed it I scored it) I created a 6" X 6" card so I started with paper  5-1/2" by 12" For the card base I used a pale pink cardstock cut 6" X 12" scored at 6".  My card is a tent fold. A piece of navy cardstock was cut 5-3/4" square and adhered to card front.  Designer Paper was cut 5-1/2" X 12".   Score at 1/2", 1", 2", 2-1/2", 3-1/2", 4", 5", 5-1/2", 6, 6-1/2" fold on each line and burnish very wel...

Heart of Lilies & Berries

Hello my crafty friends! Today I have a card I created for a dear friend's birthday using a piece from my stash.  Not sure what I had made it for but decided that it would make a great mat for this card.  I have used Spellbinders Susan's Garden Oriental Lilies from the Wellies & Oriental Lily Die Set S5-478 Summer Flora Collection , Ladder Fern from Ferns & Ivy Die Set S4-1086 also from Spring Flora Collection and Arrowood Viburnum S3-516 from Winter's Grace Collection .  The patterned paper in heart is actually from a picture of old wallpaper I took at the Olson House where Andrew Wyeth painted the famous painting "Christina's World" .  I have used this on several occasions printing onto cardstock. My card base is 5-1/2" X 7" from 110# cardstock.  Pattern paper was cut a little larger than the heart opening then attached to back side using Clear Double Sided Adhesive .  The mat was then attached to card front using dimensional tape...

Hi my crafty friends! Today I have a "Survivor card I created.  It is another slimline card adorned with Susan's Garden flowers.  Embossing folder is Spellbinders 3D slimline embossing folder.  White 110# cardstock cut 8" X 9" scored at 4" folded in half.  Designer paper ( I used Mintay Peony Garden MT-PEO-02 ) cut 3-3/4" X 8-3/4" and adhered to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.  White embossed mat was cut from white card stock 3" X 8" embossed (sorry it has no info on it other than E3D-087 which does not show up on Spellbinder site).  Once embossed it was adhered to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive. Susan's Garden Arrow Wood Viburnum S3-516 from Winters Grace Release, Pom Pom Dahlia S4-1317 from Birds & Bees release and Queen Anne's Lace S4-1327 from Through the Arbor release were cut, colored and shaped using Susan's Garden Specialty Paper and Susan's Deluxe Tool Kit and created using Susan's ...

Hello my crafty friends! Lately I have been trying to get caught up on my cards - not doing any the last 6 months I have a lot to get caught up on. Today my card is a Z Fold card 6" X 6" closed.  I have adorned it with Susan's Garden Landscape Rose from the Botanical Garden Collection along with Arrow Wood Viburnum from Winter's Grace Collection. Card base is 6" X 12" 110# white cardstock scored at 3" and 6" fold on score lines so it is a mountain fold and a valley fold.  designer paper ( from my stash) was cut 2-3/4" X 5-3/4" (2 pc) 5-3/4" square (1).  Adhere designer paper to card base using clear double sided adhesive. Next I cut 3 (only need 2) of the largest large Diamonds from green cardstock ( Spellbinders Essential Diamonds S5-525) and 3 white in next size down.  Sentiments stamped on 2 of the white diamonds.  White pieces were attached to green diamonds using clear double sided adhesive.  Using a clear drying liquid glue on ...
