Double Gate Fold with Love in a Mist & Clematis

Image
Hello my crafty friends! My latest creation is a double gate fold card which Susan Tierney Cockburn did on her Facebook Live February 26th Susan's Garden Live.  Video can be found here   I added a pocket and tag to the back of mine.  I created Spellbinders Susan's Garden Love in a Mist S3-559 and Clematis Poet S5-712 f rom Susan's latest release Poet's Garden .  Spellbinders Fluted Circles S4-1150 were also used for the circle on front of the card.  I chose to put a pocket and tag on the back of the card. My card is a 6" X 6" and I used Susan's instructions found on link above.  I made the pocket on center back by cutting cardstock 4-3/4" by 2-3/4" layered it with designer paper 4-1/2" X 2-1/2" adhered to back with glue on side and bottom edges only forming pocket.  I cut tag using Nested Tag set from Scrapbook.com. I created the circle frame using the 2 largest circles nesting them together.  I used the largest circle die to cut a...

Hello My Crafty Friends! My card today I created for a dear friend and former co-worker that just lost her husband. It is a 5 X 7 card with basket weave background.  Susan did this background technique on her Susan's Garden Club 2 Facebook Live February 5th which is found here .  I chose to cut 9 strips  to cover the card front 8 to weave and 1 I cut pieces to fill the gaps.  I used the Love-in-a-Mist S3-559 from Spellbinders Susan's Garden latest release Poet's Garden .  I also used Gingko S4-1278   from the Victorian Garden Release and the berry branch for the  Arrowwood Viburnum S3-516 from the Winter's Grace Release.  the vessel for my flowers is a die cut from my stash.  I used Spellbinders Essential Modern Ovals S4-1266 (2nd and 3rd smallest sizes) for the sentiment. I shaped the vessel with my fingers to give it a curve added a couple dimensional tabs lower center on the back then added glue on very edge of both sides and attac...

From white cardstock Vintage Treasures was die cut background was attached to back of main die cut using Kids Choice Glue.  Dimensional tape was used to adhere to card front. Several Beauty Berry Bush were cut from green cardstock flowers cut from pink cardstock then shaped and assembled. three Columbine were cut from white cardstock shaped and assembled as well as one Love In A Mist cut from blue cardstock leaves from green cardstock. Once flowers were where I wanted them they were attached using Kids Choice Glue. Hope my card has inspired you to create.  Thanks ...

Sympathy Cards

Image
Welcome my crafty friends! Just a quick post today.  Today I have 3 sympathy cards I created using some of Susan's Garden Notes dies.  I have not done tutorials but they are very simple to do.  Because sympathy cards are usually not a planned thing it helps if you have a few flowers ahead so a card can be created in a timely manner.  These cards all have the Garden Notes Love In A Mist which I love to make. Card 1 has a background paper that I made myself by printing off a picture I had taken of old wallpaper. Card 2   the colorful oval was done with coffee filter and powder water colors. Card 3   the colorful image was done using Distress Oxide Inks. Thanks for stopping by and until next time - Happy Crafting! Christine   Elizabeth Craft Designs Supplies
