Love-in-a-Mist Woven Background

Hello My Crafty Friends!

My card today I created for a dear friend and former co-worker that just lost her husband.

It is a 5 X 7 card with basket weave background.  Susan did this background technique on her Susan's Garden Club 2 Facebook Live February 5th which is found here.  I chose to cut 9 strips  to cover the card front 8 to weave and 1 I cut pieces to fill the gaps.  I used the Love-in-a-Mist S3-559 from Spellbinders Susan's Garden latest release Poet's Garden.  I also used Gingko S4-1278  from the Victorian Garden Release and the berry branch for the  Arrowwood Viburnum S3-516 from the Winter's Grace Release.  the vessel for my flowers is a die cut from my stash.  I used Spellbinders Essential Modern Ovals S4-1266 (2nd and 3rd smallest sizes) for the sentiment.

I shaped the vessel with my fingers to give it a curve added a couple dimensional tabs lower center on the back then added glue on very edge of both sides and attached to card front.

Susan has a YouTube video for creating Love-in-a-Mist which can be found here   Gingko here

Using Kids Choice Glue I created my bouquet on my vessel.

I stamped sentiment on a piece of white cardstock using black ink.  Using next to the smallest Spellbinders Modern Ovals I cut sentiment out.  Using 3rd smallest die I cut a mat from black cardstock attached sentiment to mat then used dimensional tape to back and adhered to card.

Thank you for stopping by today I do hope I have inspired you go make a card.  Until next time Happy Creating!

Christine
