Double Gate Fold with Love in a Mist & Clematis
Hello my crafty friends!
My latest creation is a double gate fold card which Susan Tierney Cockburn did on her Facebook Live February 26th Susan's Garden Live. Video can be found here I added a pocket and tag to the back of mine. I created Spellbinders Susan's Garden Love in a Mist S3-559 and Clematis Poet S5-712 from Susan's latest release Poet's Garden. Spellbinders Fluted Circles S4-1150 were also used for the circle on front of the card. I chose to put a pocket and tag on the back of the card.
My card is a 6" X 6" and I used Susan's instructions found on link above. I made the pocket on center back by cutting cardstock 4-3/4" by 2-3/4" layered it with designer paper 4-1/2" X 2-1/2" adhered to back with glue on side and bottom edges only forming pocket. I cut tag using Nested Tag set from Scrapbook.com.
I created the circle frame using the 2 largest circles nesting them together. I used the largest circle die to cut a piece of acetate which I adhered to the back of frame. Using liquid glue I attached circle to front left of card making sure not to glue to any moving parts.
Using Spellbinders Susan's Garden Clematis Poet I choice to do Clematis Piilu which is a double pink) and Love in a Mist dies from the latest collection Poet's Garden and Susan's Garden Specialty Paper I cut 3 Love in a Mist and 1 Clematis Poet plus 2 each of the 2 smallest petal dies for the bud. I used Spellbinders Susan's Garden Deluxe Tool Kit to shape flowers and Olo Alcohol Markers to color (RV 0.4, RV 0.1, YG 2.5, YG 8.5, Yg8.7). links to Susan's video can be found here for the Clematis Poet and here for Love in A Mist.
Using Kids Choice Glue I added my flowers, leaves and berries to card.
I do hope you have enjoyed my card today and that it has inspired you to create one of your own. It really was a fun easy card.
Until next time - Happy Creating!
Christine
