Hello my crafty friends welcome to my blog.

Enjoying making paper flowers as here in Maine we still have lots of snow on the ground and more to come - we won't see anything growing outside for a while.

Today I have another card using a couple of Susan's new releases you are going to love them.  What fun this new release is.

Here is how the card was created.

Step 1  For 6" X 6" card base from white Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step 2  Create 6" X 6"  ModaScrap Happy Frame from white Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step 3  Cut patterned paper 5-3/4" square adhere to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.  Adhere frame to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Step 4  Cut 2 Garden Notes Bushel Baskets from brown cardstock which has Clear Double Sided Adhesive on back.  Adhere 1 on top of other.  Using Distress Ink shade basket.  Remove protective paper from back add couple pop dots to center back adhere to card front.

Step 5  Using Garden Notes Fuchsia die set cut 10-12 flowers from white Soft Finish Cardstock and leaves and stems from green cardstock.   Using alcohol markers to color flowers and distress ink to shade leaves and stems.  Shape using Susan's 4 pc All Metal Tool Kit, Molding Mat and Leaf Mat.  Assemble using Kids Choice Glue.  Add to basket using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 6  Cut 2 ModaScrap Lace Corners from white Soft Finish Cardstock adhere to frame using Kids Choice Glue.

    Your work is beautiful and is something I have never seen before .Please tell Denice or Debbie ( my sister says Denice and I thought it was Debbie please forgive me but I met a lot of new people there) that I am very appreciative of her gift of the snippet container It is very handy and easy to pack .Hope to see you both in the fall

    Yes it was so nice meet you so glad you like my work. You are correct it is Debby not Denice so you did well for someone that doesn't do well with names. I will let Debby know that you appreciate her gift. Looking forward to hooking with you again.

Good Morning Everyone!  Sorry it has been so long since I have posted but I have been busy getting ready to go to Creative Keepsake Convention and then going to convention. I had a great time taking classes, shopping, eating and enjoying great friends. My post today is using one of Susan's Garden new dies and one of Karen Burniston's pop up dies.  It was hard to get a good clear picture because of the shine from the glitter. Card base is an A2 size card (4-1/4 X 5-1/2) 1.  Panel is made by using Karen Burniston's accordion rectangle die.  Attach a piece of sticker paper  4-1/2 X 5-3/4 to a pc of white cardstock the same size using clear double sided adhesive. Cut 1 frame from this.  Cut the rectangle and tabs from center of frame and the long tab on the left edge of the frame. Run this frame through Sizzix machine using Hearts Entwined embossing folder (or other embossing folder of your choice)  Peel the paper from the front of the frame ( protective paper covering adhesive

Family Birthday Cards

Welcome my crafty friends! Today I have a couple birthday cards I did for our grandson and my hubby.  Our grandson and hubby share their birthday - grandson was best birthday gift ever. Our grandson turned 18 and he loves to fish he has a boat and fishes when he is not working.  Hubby turned 79 and loves his John Deere tractor.   Cards are both 6" X 6" and I used a combination of dies and Cricut to make my cards. The pop up mechanism was same for both it was an old die set of Karen Burniston when she was with Elizabeth Craft Designs - Bathtub Pop Up.  Another time I would reshape the bathtub into a boat but I had already hand cut the boat then went looking for a die set that had a pop up mechanism to use kind of like putting the cart before the horse. KB Riley  1003  Word 2 Birthday, 1031 Numbers and 1049 Camping Charms  were used.  The fisherman, fish and the silhouette of boat and fisherman were cut on Cricut.  Hooked On Fishing was  cut from a top strip of design paper fro

Survivor Pink Sunflower and Berries

  Hello my crafty friends! Another Breast Cancer Survivor card that I created in October.  Once again I used Spellbinders Susan's Garden Sunflower, Acacia and Berry Branch and for this card Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Lisette Oval Shadowbox Frame die set. My card base is 5" X 7" made from 100# white cardstock.  Embossed layer is 4-3/4" X 6-3/4" white cardstock.  I used a swiss dot embossing folder (it is an old 8-1/2" X 11" embossing folder - I have used it so much it is taped together now).  This piece was attached to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive .  Using the Lisette Oval Shadowbox Frame 2  largest dies I cut 1 from pink cardstock adhered to card front using Bearly Art Glue.   I printed sentiment on white cardstock then die cut using the next 2 dies from Lisette die set then attached to card front using dimensional tape.
