Sweet Aubrey Tag




Hello everyone today my hubby and I are celebrating our 47th Anniversary and so we will be heading to the coast to celebrate.  This has been a tradition for many years for us.  We choose different places to go but our favorite is Camden, Maine it is so pretty  and that is where we will go.

Today I am posting a tag I made to go on a gift for a friend's new granddaughter.  It is a quick and simple project.

  1.  From pink cardstock using Tags & More 6 Daisy die set cut solid tag and 2 corners.

  2. From white cardstock using Tags & More 6 Daisy cut tag overlay.

  3. From off white / cream colored cardstock (Close to My Heart Colonial White used here) cut petals for 2 roses using Susan's Garden Notes Rose 2 die set.  Shade petals using pink from PanPastels set 1. Shape all petals.

  4. Cut 4 stems from green cardstock.  Add stem and vein lines to 2 of the stems.  Shade with bright green PanPastels Set 1.  Using a clear drying glue such as Kid's Choice to adhere the veined stem on top of the plain stem.   Susan has a great You Tube video to help with the shading and shaping which is found here.

  5. Print or stamp sentiment on same pink cardstock that was used for the tag.  Using the smallest oval from Stitched Oval Dies center over sentiment and cut out.

  6. Ink all edges of tag, corners and oval using ink of your choice I used Tea Dye Distress Ink here.

  7. Attach white overlay to pink tag using Clear Double Sided Adhesive avoiding open areas of overlay.  Attach corners with clear drying glue.  Adhere roses using same glue.

  8. Add a piece of matching ribbon to top of tag to tie onto package.

Good Morning Everyone!  Sorry it has been so long since I have posted but I have been busy getting ready to go to Creative Keepsake Convention and then going to convention. I had a great time taking classes, shopping, eating and enjoying great friends. My post today is using one of Susan's Garden new dies and one of Karen Burniston's pop up dies.  It was hard to get a good clear picture because of the shine from the glitter. Card base is an A2 size card (4-1/4 X 5-1/2) 1.  Panel is made by using Karen Burniston's accordion rectangle die.  Attach a piece of sticker paper  4-1/2 X 5-3/4 to a pc of white cardstock the same size using clear double sided adhesive. Cut 1 frame from this.  Cut the rectangle and tabs from center of frame and the long tab on the left edge of the frame. Run this frame through Sizzix machine using Hearts Entwined embossing folder (or other embossing folder of your choice)  Peel the paper from the front of the frame ( protective paper covering adhesive

Family Birthday Cards

Welcome my crafty friends! Today I have a couple birthday cards I did for our grandson and my hubby.  Our grandson and hubby share their birthday - grandson was best birthday gift ever. Our grandson turned 18 and he loves to fish he has a boat and fishes when he is not working.  Hubby turned 79 and loves his John Deere tractor.   Cards are both 6" X 6" and I used a combination of dies and Cricut to make my cards. The pop up mechanism was same for both it was an old die set of Karen Burniston when she was with Elizabeth Craft Designs - Bathtub Pop Up.  Another time I would reshape the bathtub into a boat but I had already hand cut the boat then went looking for a die set that had a pop up mechanism to use kind of like putting the cart before the horse. Survivor Pink Sunflower and Berries

  Hello my crafty friends! Another Breast Cancer Survivor card that I created in October.  Once again I used Spellbinders Susan's Garden Sunflower, Acacia and Berry Branch and for this card Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Lisette Oval Shadowbox Frame die set. My card base is 5" X 7" made from 100# white cardstock.  Embossed layer is 4-3/4" X 6-3/4" white cardstock.  I used a swiss dot embossing folder (it is an old 8-1/2" X 11" embossing folder - I have used it so much it is taped together now).  This piece was attached to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive .  Using the Lisette Oval Shadowbox Frame 2  largest dies I cut 1 from pink cardstock adhered to card front using Bearly Art Glue.   I printed sentiment on white cardstock then die cut using the next 2 dies from Lisette die set then attached to card front using dimensional tape.
