Petunias & Tassel Flowers


Hello my crafty friends!
Today I have a card for you adorned with Spellbinders Susan's Garden Petunia S4-1434 from the Summer Solstice Release, Tassel Flower S4-1482 from Serenity Garden Release, the Galvanized Wash Bucket S5-615 from Through the Arbor Release and the berries are just from a berry branch I bought at Hobby Lobby.  I tried very hard to get the true color but I just couldn't get my phone camera to pick up the true purple color that they actually are.  I find Blue & Purple very hard to photograph.

My card is a simple tent fold 6" X 6" I created from 100# cardstock.  The designer paper is P13  03 Till We Meet Again cut 5-3/4" square and adhered to card front.  The white frame was created using a square die measuring approximately 5-1/2" outside dimension and inner die 5".  I lined dies up used Washi tape to hold together so I could cut frame from white cardstock and adhered to card front.

The Wash Bucket is Spellbinders Susan's Garden Nasturtium & Wash Bucket S5-615 from the Through the Arbor Release not sure that it is even available anymore but you can use any kind of vessel for this.  I cut 2 from watercolor paper attached together then  colored & embossed.  Next I shaped with my fingers giving it some dimension added a couple of pop dots in lower center on back of bucket and some Kids Choice Glue all around very edge of Bucket but leaving center opening free of glue then attaching to the lower edge of card front.

I added these flowers plus some berries to the Wash Bucket using Kids Choice Glue.

Birthday Bouquet

Hello Everyone it is hard to believe how fast the month of May is flying by.  Why is it the warmer months always go by much faster than those cold months. Today my post is another Sunflower card I made for a co-worker.  I used Susan's Garden Notes Sunflower die (one of my many favorites of Susan's ) along with some Shimmer Sheetz and the Asian Vase die. Here is how this card was made:  Using 3 different shades of cardstock (yellows, oranges and reds ) cut 3 sunflowers.  Cut green leaves and for the seeds in the center of sunflower use 2 shades of brown cardstock (hard to see in picture but it does add some shading).  Shape everything using Susan's Sunflower video as your guide.  Video found here Using 100# white Soft Finish Cardstock make your card base which is 5-1/4" X 5-1/2".  Cut cardstock 8-1/2" X 5-1/2" and score at 4-1/4". Triple Diamond Point with Lavender Mountain Daisy

Hello my crafty friends! My card today is call a Triple Diamond Point which I found on Sam Calcutt YouTube channel.  I have created the card pretty much as Sam did but I used flowers from Spellbinders Susan's Garden Through the Meadow Collection .  I used S2-414 Lavender Mountain Daisy , an older Berry Branch and some Grape Hyacinth I created myself.  Also from Spellbinders I used E3D-033 Beveled Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder and Spellbinders Better Press BP-025 Always & Forever Sentiment Strips.   The card is a 6" X 6" here is Sam's video for creating this card.  Triple Diamond Point Using Susan's Garden Specialty Paper I cut 3 of the Lavender Mountain Daisies and colored with Olo Alcohol Markers V2.3 and 2.4.   I used watercolor paper for the foliage colored them with  YG-8.5 & 8.7 I then shaped them using Susan's Garden Deluxe Tool Kit .  Susan's video for creating these flowers can be found here .
