Love in a Mist and Wild Violets



Hello My Crafty Friends!

Finally I am getting around to posting some of my cards that I have made the last couple of months it has been a busy time for me.  I have had many requests for cards plus I have had cards I need for family members.

My card today is a card that was requested for a dear friend's daughter's graduation.  She just left it up to me other than color.  It is a Z Fold card and I used Spellbinders Essential Arches Etched die set but any arch set would do.  I have adorned the card with Spellbinders Susan's Garden Love in a Mist  S3-559 and Wild Violet S-3569 both from the Poet's Garden release.  I created Love in a Mist and Wild Violets following Susan's YouTube videos linked below

I stamped Graduate in black ink on white cardstock then die cut to attach to front.  The inside sentiment is a free printable one that I got off the internet printed on white cardstock and die cut with the largest arch die that is on front of card so they would match up when constructing the card base.  The pink cardstock was embossed using a dotted Swiss embossing folder.

Birthday Bouquet

Hello Everyone it is hard to believe how fast the month of May is flying by.  Why is it the warmer months always go by much faster than those cold months. Today my post is another Sunflower card I made for a co-worker.  I used Susan's Garden Notes Sunflower die (one of my many favorites of Susan's ) along with some Shimmer Sheetz and the Asian Vase die. Here is how this card was made:  Using 3 different shades of cardstock (yellows, oranges and reds ) cut 3 sunflowers.  Cut green leaves and for the seeds in the center of sunflower use 2 shades of brown cardstock (hard to see in picture but it does add some shading).  Shape everything using Susan's Sunflower video as your guide.  Video found here Using 100# white Soft Finish Cardstock make your card base which is 5-1/4" X 5-1/2".  Cut cardstock 8-1/2" X 5-1/2" and score at 4-1/4". Triple Diamond Point with Lavender Mountain Daisy

Hello my crafty friends! My card today is call a Triple Diamond Point which I found on Sam Calcutt YouTube channel.  I have created the card pretty much as Sam did but I used flowers from Spellbinders Susan's Garden Through the Meadow Collection .  I used S2-414 Lavender Mountain Daisy , an older Berry Branch and some Grape Hyacinth I created myself.  Also from Spellbinders I used E3D-033 Beveled Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder and Spellbinders Better Press BP-025 Always & Forever Sentiment Strips.   The card is a 6" X 6" here is Sam's video for creating this card.  Triple Diamond Point Using Susan's Garden Specialty Paper I cut 3 of the Lavender Mountain Daisies and colored with Olo Alcohol Markers V2.3 and 2.4.   I used watercolor paper for the foliage colored them with  YG-8.5 & 8.7 I then shaped them using Susan's Garden Deluxe Tool Kit .  Susan's video for creating these flowers can be found here .
