Z Fold Pop Up Block Card with Gerber Daisy

Hello my crafty friends!

Finally I am back creating cards.  I have missed it but it gets kind of crazy November, December and January.

Susan Tierney-Cockburn did a Z Fold Pop Up Block card last week on her Garden Club 2 "Live" so I decided I would try it - it is fun and easy to create.

My closed card is 6" X 6".  I have used Spellbinders Susan's Garden Gerber Daisy S5-531 from Painters Garden Collection, Ginkgo from Victorian Foliage set Victorian Garden Collection and Ladder Fern from Ferns & Ivy Spring Flora Collection.  The paper is a P13 paper Hello Summer Collection.

Cut white 100# cardstock score at 2-1/2" and 5"  mountain then valley fold
Pattern Paper cut 1 pc cut 2-1/4" X 5-3/4" and 1 pc 5-3/4" square adhered to card base using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.  1 piece of white cardstock was cut 2" x 5-1/2" and embossed.  I used Spellbinders E3D-052  3D Raindrop embossing folder.  Adhered that piece to first section of card base.

Blocks
Block #1  "6 X 5" at 2", 3-1/2" and 5-1/2"
Block #2  5" X 4" score at 1-1/2", 3", 4-1/2"
Block #3  4" X 3" score at 1", 2-1/2", 3-1/2"
On blocks always score on longest side and they are all mountain folds.
On Susan's video she had a couple scoring areas so I have given you the correct scoring for blocks.  Here is the link where you can follow along to complete card base here

From Spellbinders Susan's Garden Specialty Paper I cut 1 Gerber Daisy and from watercolor paper I cut 2 Ginkgo and 3 Ladder Ferns along with the Gerber Daisy leaves.  They were colored with alcohol markers and Susan's Deluxe Tool Kit was used to shape all.  Here are links to YouTube videos for creating these components.

I added sentiment at bottom of card on 6" X 6" side.

Thanks for stopping by and I sure hope that you have been inspired to make a Z Fold Pop Up Block Card it really is easy and fun.

Please check back often I have 4 or 5 more completed cards to post - this coming week I will start posting cards from Spellbinders Susan's Garden latest release.

Until next time - Happy Creating!

Christine

  1. Such a beautil card Christine. Bright, colorful and delightful. It just makes me smile. May I ask what the decorative paper is? It's lovely and matching your design perfectly.
