Bloom In A Bottle

Hello My Crafty Friends!
Have not posted lately so today I decided it was time to make a card to post.  It is just a basic 6" X 6" tent fold card.  A simple bouquet using Gerber Daisy S5-531 from Spellbinders/Susan's Garden Painters Garden Collection along with a Berry Branch from S4-1079 Foliage & Ladybug Autumn
Flora Collection and Ladder Fern S4-1086 Ferns & Ivy Spring Flora Collection.  Sentiment is from Garden Favorites Collection.

Card Base 6" X  6" tent fold layered with red holographic paper cut 5-3/4" square adhered to card front then patterned paper cut to 5-1/2" square then adhered to card front.

Using my Cricut machine I have cut a bunch of bottle shapes and sizes to use as patterns so I took a larger one traced it onto clear plastic (I save clear packaging) colored with alcohol marker re-inker Copic R46 was used for this bottle then used heat gun to shrink (my pattern was approximately 2-1/2 times larger than the finished bottle).  See Photos

The green bottle I embossed before shrinking to see if it would work and it did.
I will say I think if the actual shrink plastic is used the color would be a little bit more even.  I have ordered some shrink plastic to see if it colors more evenly.

The red bottle was attached to card front using Kids Choice Glue.

2 ladder ferns were cut from green cardstock then shaded and shaped.  The were added to bottle using Kids Choice Glue.

I used Styrofoam balls for berries on Berry Branch it was added to bottle using Kids Choice Glue.

Susan's Specialty Paper was used for 1 Gerber Daisy and 1 bud.  For the bud I cut 5 of the smallest petals and 3 of next to the smallest.  Flowers were shaped using Susan's Ultimate Tool Kit.  6 smallest petals were colored using OLO marker Y2.0.  Susan's YouTube video for creating Gerber Daisy can be found here.  Daisy and bud adhered to bottle using Kids Choice Glue.

For sentiment I first cut black cardstock 2" square then added red holographic paper cut to 1-3/4" square to black square.  Sentiment was stamped with black ink onto 1-1/2" square white cardstock and added to other squares using dimensional dots.  the completed square was then added to card front using dimensional tape.

I do hope this has been inspirational and that you will create your own version.

Thanks for stopping by today and until next time - Happy Crafting!

Christine
