Floating Frame with Zinnias

 Hello my crafty friends!

Today I have another card for you adorned with Zinnias.  The card base is a floating frame it has an easel back. I found it on Sam Calcott YouTube site.  She has lots of great card ideas.  The Zinnias are from The Painter's Garden Collection by Spellbinders/Susan Garden.

Here is a link to Sam Calcott's YouTube video for creating Floating Cards - you can find it here.  For background piece o my card it is a very old piece of  glittered corrugated paper (no recollection of where I got it) I cut so it was on diagonal.  It really is pretty in person.  The remainder of the card is  white cardstock except the little springs I made to raise card front I did them in brown.  My frame width is about 1/2" and I did use acetate.

My Zinnias were cut from Spellbinders/Susan's Garden Specialty Paper SCS-122 colored with alcohol markers, shaped using Susan's Ultimate Tool Kit T021 and assembled using Kids Choice Glue.  Susan has a YouTube video for creating the Zinnias which can be found here.

The Nandina from Susan's Garden Foliage & Ladybug set - Autumn Flora Collection I had already cut from green cardstock (or I would have cut from Susan's Specialty Paper and colored with alcohol markers - I am starting to love coloring instead of using colored cardstock) so I took 5 of them and used brown alcohol marker to color stem parts and used green ink to shade leaves next I shaped with Susan's Ultimate Tool Kit.

Kids Choice Glue was used to add the Nandina first then the Zinnias and leaves. Finally the little Ladybug.

Hope that this has inspired you to go make a card.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time - Happy Creating!

Christine
