Quilted Sunflowers & Berries


Hello My Crafty Friends,

Fall is upon us so today I have a card for you that has Spellbinders Susan's Garden Sunflowers and Winterberry.  I have done a simple 6" X 6" Tent Fold Card .

Card Base - Created from Autumn Terra Cotta cardstock 6" X 12" scored at 6".  Dark brown cardstock was cut 5-3/4" X 5-3/4" adhered to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.  Copper Metallic cardstock was cut 5-1/2" X 5-1/2" then embossed using Lisa Horton 3D Embossing Folder - Padded Quilt adhered to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Next I cut 4 wreaths from water color paper using Spellbinders Susan's Garden Woodland Wreath & Feathered Friends S5-454 from Holiday Collection.  I used several Copic markers to color the wreaths.  I then used large ball tool and molding mat from Spellbinders Susan's Garden Ultimate Tool Kit laying wreath on mat and rubbing with ball tool.  Using Kids Choice Glue off setting each layer only using glue in center of area of wreaths avoiding the little branches.  Using Kids Choice Glue adhere wreath to card front.

3 sunflowers were cut from Spellbinders Susan's Garden  Specialty Paper using Sunflower Die Set S4-1177 from Garden Favorites Collection.  Susan has YouTube Video for creating these sunflowers which can be found here.  Using Kids Choice Glue adhere sunflowers to left side of wreath.

Winterberry leaves and berry branch were cut from green cardstock using Spellbinders Susan's Garden Winterberry & Mistletoe S4-1113 set from Holiday Collection Susan has a YouTube video found here. ( I use small Styrofoam balls for berries)  Add leaves and berries to right side of wreath using Kids Choice Glue.

Sentiment from Garden Favorites Collection stamped on white cardstock and matted with terra cotta cardstock then adhered to card front using dimensional tape.

Good Morning Everyone!  Sorry it has been so long since I have posted but I have been busy getting ready to go to Creative Keepsake Convention and then going to convention. I had a great time taking classes, shopping, eating and enjoying great friends. My post today is using one of Susan's Garden new dies and one of Karen Burniston's pop up dies.  It was hard to get a good clear picture because of the shine from the glitter. Card base is an A2 size card (4-1/4 X 5-1/2) 1.  Panel is made by using Karen Burniston's accordion rectangle die.  Attach a piece of sticker paper  4-1/2 X 5-3/4 to a pc of white cardstock the same size using clear double sided adhesive. Cut 1 frame from this.  Cut the rectangle and tabs from center of frame and the long tab on the left edge of the frame. Run this frame through Sizzix machine using Hearts Entwined embossing folder (or other embossing folder of your choice)  Peel the paper from the front of the frame ( protective paper covering adhesive

Family Birthday Cards

Welcome my crafty friends! Today I have a couple birthday cards I did for our grandson and my hubby.  Our grandson and hubby share their birthday - grandson was best birthday gift ever. Our grandson turned 18 and he loves to fish he has a boat and fishes when he is not working.  Hubby turned 79 and loves his John Deere tractor.   Cards are both 6" X 6" and I used a combination of dies and Cricut to make my cards. The pop up mechanism was same for both it was an old die set of Karen Burniston when she was with Elizabeth Craft Designs - Bathtub Pop Up.  Another time I would reshape the bathtub into a boat but I had already hand cut the boat then went looking for a die set that had a pop up mechanism to use kind of like putting the cart before the horse. Survivor Pink Sunflower and Berries

  Hello my crafty friends! Another Breast Cancer Survivor card that I created in October.  Once again I used Spellbinders Susan's Garden Sunflower, Acacia and Berry Branch and for this card Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Lisette Oval Shadowbox Frame die set. My card base is 5" X 7" made from 100# white cardstock.  Embossed layer is 4-3/4" X 6-3/4" white cardstock.  I used a swiss dot embossing folder (it is an old 8-1/2" X 11" embossing folder - I have used it so much it is taped together now).  This piece was attached to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive .  Using the Lisette Oval Shadowbox Frame 2  largest dies I cut 1 from pink cardstock adhered to card front using Bearly Art Glue.   I printed sentiment on white cardstock then die cut using the next 2 dies from Lisette die set then attached to card front using dimensional tape.
