Woodland Wreath with Poinsettia & Pine Cone

Hello my crafty friends, welcome to my blog!

Today my Christmas card was created using the brand new  Susan's Garden Club Woodland Wreath along with Poinsettia, Pinecone, Pine Boughs, Winter Boughs & Evergreen Shrubs and added a bit of snow.

For my card today I used a tan colored cardstock to create a 6" X 6" card base (mine is tent fold so whatever your preference is).  Dark brown cardstock was used for mat layer cut 5-3/4" square adhered to card front using Clear Double sided Adhesive.  Patterned paper was cut 5-1/2" square and adhered in same manner.  Patterned paper was purchased years ago in a little scrapbook store that is not longer there.  I loved this paper and have saved all this time and decided it was time to use it.

For the wreath two different brown cardstocks were used to cut 4 Woodland Wreaths used some brown ink to add shade.  I did some pinching up on each of them to give them dimension.  Using Kids Choice Glue to attach to card front I alternated the colors as I stacked the wreaths turning a quarter of turn with each layer.

Winter Boughs were cut (2) from Susan's Specialty Paper then colored with a dark red and brown alcohol marker used ball tool from Susan's Deluxe Tool Kit to give them a little dimension by rubbing on back side. Using Kids Choice Glue attached a couple to left upper half of wreath offsetting a little.

Evergreen Shrubs were cut from Susan's Specialty Cardstock then colored with alcohol markers.  Susan's Deluxe Tool Kit was used to shape.  Attach one on top and one on bottom.  Pine Cone and Pine Bough  set was used I cut Pine Cone from brown cardstock and the Boughs from green cardstock.  They were shaped and shaded then added to wreath.  Poinsettia was cut (1) from green card stock and the other 2 from Susan's Specialty Cardstock colored then shaped then colored with alcohol markers then shaped and added to wreath adding extra leaves as desired.  Susan has done YouTube videos that are very helpful.

Small amount of snow was added to card.  You can add as much or as little as you want.

I am hoping my card has been an inspiration to you and you will create your own Woodland Wreath card.

Materials used in making this card are linked below and when you click on a picture it will take you directly to site where you can purchase at no extra cost to you but it does give me a little commission to help cover my costs - thanking you in advance for any purchases.
