Japonica Twisted Easel

 Hello My Crafty Friends,

Today I am happy to be posting another card using Susan's  new Garden Notes Spellbinders Spring Release.  My card today features Kerria Japonica and is a twisted easel card.  Susan did the twisted easel card on her "Live" last week on her Facebook page Susan's Garden Club.

Base is created from 6 X 12 cardstock scored at 6" folded and burnished.  Front of card was scored from lower left corner to upper right corner.  folded and burnished. Distress Ink - Vintage Photo was used to age all edges. Cut 2 pc patterned paper 5-3/4" squares edges were aged with distress ink then adhere to front and inside using clear double sided adhesive.

Large Die of the Month October #DOMXL OCT17 was die cut and adhered using clear double sided adhesive just to bottom half of front.  Inner piece of same set was cut twice from green cardstock glued together using   Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue avoiding the tendrils and ferns.  Before adhering to center of card piece was laid down pencil was used to lightly draw around leaves etc to basically map out open area for stamping.  Sentiment is from Susan's Spring Release Spring Quotes and was stamped in area using black Momento Ink.  Using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue adhere to card front carefully lining up over the stamped sentiment.

I made 5 Kerria Japonica flowers and leaves - I made 2 of them smaller.  Flowers were cut from Susan's new Specialty Cardstock and colored with Copics Y19.  Flowers were shaped using Susan's new Tool Kit which includes molding pad.  Leaves were cut from green cardstock shaded then shaped using the leaf pad and leaf tool from kit.  Kids Choice Glue was used to assemble flowers and also adhere to card front.  Lady Bug was created using Foliage & Lady Bug Die Set from Susan's Garden Club Fall Floral Release.

Below I have linked products if you click on link it will take you to site where you can order and there is no extra cost to you but I do earn a small commission which helps to pay for my supplies.  Thanking you in advance.

Thank you so much for stopping by today I do hope I have given you some inspiration to create your own flowers and card.

Until next time - Happy crafting!

Christine
