Daisy & Chicory Envelope Card


Hello my crafty friends welcome to my blog.

Today I have an envelope card that I created and decorated with Susan's Garden Note Daisies, Ferns, Chicory (created from Susan's Garden Notes Aster die set) and Jasmine.

From white soft finish cardstock created envelope and card base.  Used pattern paper to decorate envelope.  (An old Close to My Heart Paper used here)  I stamped  quote in black then used some little blotchy stamps with black ink to decorate inside of my card.  Close to My Heart stamp set - A Million Little Things was used.

Created 4 Susan's Garden Notes Daisies, 6 asters (cut from blue cardstock), some Jasmine and ferns - Ladder and Maidenhair.  A few small branches were tucked in arrangement.

To create the chicory I cut off the very ends of the asters then with small sharp scissors cut into ends to give them a fringe.  The stems from the Forsythia die set were cut from green cardstock and asters added.

Using the smaller 3 dies from Spellbinder Candlewick Rectangles I created place for sentiment.  from black cardstock using the two larger dies I cut decorative base for sentiment then from white cardstock cut smallest.  Stamped sentiment with black ink using another Close to My Heart stamp set - Australian Thanks which is an old set.  Adhered sentiment to black decorative base then using dimensional tape adhered to card front.

    So pretty. I haven't tried the envelope card yet but,..will it fit one of the clear boxes for mailing.?

    Thank you Beverly - no it does not fit into the clear boxes thickness yes as I have 1" depth boxes but it is too tall. Next size box I have is 5-3/8" x 1" X 7-3/8".

Good Morning Everyone!  Sorry it has been so long since I have posted but I have been busy getting ready to go to Creative Keepsake Convention and then going to convention. I had a great time taking classes, shopping, eating and enjoying great friends. My post today is using one of Susan's Garden new dies and one of Karen Burniston's pop up dies.  It was hard to get a good clear picture because of the shine from the glitter. Card base is an A2 size card (4-1/4 X 5-1/2) 1.  Panel is made by using Karen Burniston's accordion rectangle die.  Attach a piece of sticker paper  4-1/2 X 5-3/4 to a pc of white cardstock the same size using clear double sided adhesive. Cut 1 frame from this.  Cut the rectangle and tabs from center of frame and the long tab on the left edge of the frame. Run this frame through Sizzix machine using Hearts Entwined embossing folder (or other embossing folder of your choice)  Peel the paper from the front of the frame ( protective paper covering adhesive

Family Birthday Cards

Welcome my crafty friends! Today I have a couple birthday cards I did for our grandson and my hubby.  Our grandson and hubby share their birthday - grandson was best birthday gift ever. Our grandson turned 18 and he loves to fish he has a boat and fishes when he is not working.  Hubby turned 79 and loves his John Deere tractor.   Cards are both 6" X 6" and I used a combination of dies and Cricut to make my cards. The pop up mechanism was same for both it was an old die set of Karen Burniston when she was with Elizabeth Craft Designs - Bathtub Pop Up.  Another time I would reshape the bathtub into a boat but I had already hand cut the boat then went looking for a die set that had a pop up mechanism to use kind of like putting the cart before the horse. Survivor Pink Sunflower and Berries

  Hello my crafty friends! Another Breast Cancer Survivor card that I created in October.  Once again I used Spellbinders Susan's Garden Sunflower, Acacia and Berry Branch and for this card Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Lisette Oval Shadowbox Frame die set. My card base is 5" X 7" made from 100# white cardstock.  Embossed layer is 4-3/4" X 6-3/4" white cardstock.  I used a swiss dot embossing folder (it is an old 8-1/2" X 11" embossing folder - I have used it so much it is taped together now).  This piece was attached to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive .  Using the Lisette Oval Shadowbox Frame 2  largest dies I cut 1 from pink cardstock adhered to card front using Bearly Art Glue.   I printed sentiment on white cardstock then die cut using the next 2 dies from Lisette die set then attached to card front using dimensional tape.
