Cheery Pom Pom Dahlias

 Cheery Pom Pom Dahlias

Welcome my crafty friends,

Today I have a colorful card that could be used for several different occasions.  Once again I had seen a picture posted on Facebook that inspired me to make some of Susan's Pom Pom Dahlias.   Look around there are so many places to find inspiration for a card.  Here is the inspiration picture.

Here is how I created my card.

Card base 6" X 6" - Craft Perfect White Card Base used here.

Cut colored cardstock 5-3/4" square attach to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Cut White Soft Finish Cardstock 5-1/2" square attach to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals - smallest was used to cut a decorative oval from white Soft Finish Cardstock.

Create background piece 3-1/2" X 4" die cut using oval that will fit inside decorative oval then adhere in center using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.  My background piece was photo paper then colored with Brusho Powders.

Vase was cut on Cricut using clear sticker paper - 2 were cut.  Colored back of one using B12 & BG13 Copic markers.    Adhered the one I colored to top of clear one.  Using embossing folder - emboss to make it look like decorative glass.

Cut Stems from green cardstock put them in vase then added  small pieces of clear dimension tape in center back of vase.  Adhere to left side of card base.

Add dimensional tape to back of decorative oval adhere to right side of card front.

Create 4-5 Pom Pom Dahlias.  My dahlias are smaller I only did 2 of largest petals on 3 of them and non of the largest on 1.  Using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive attach dahlias to top of vase.  Add leaves.

Once again I hope I have given you inspiration to create a card.

Thank you for stopping by today and until next time - Happy Crafting!

Christine
