Lenten Rose 70th

Hello my crafting friends, welcome to my blog!

Today I have a card I created for a dear friend that has been my friend since childhood. Our birthdays are a week apart and we have been exchanging birthday cards for many years.

My card was created using Susan's Garden Club Helleborous, Japanese Painted Fern, Galvanized Bucket, Tonic Studios - Patterned Panels - Deco Diamonds and Nuvo Shimmer Powders.

Step 1 Using Craft Perfect Watercolor Paper and Nuvo Shimmer Powders in colors of your choice sprinkle powders onto watercolor paper lightly spritz with water continue until you like the results. Set aside to air dry. Cut to size of diamond panel.

Step 2 From white cardstock die cut 1 Deco Diamond Panel.

Step 3 Cut 1 piece of white cardstock 4-3/4" X 6-3/4" then using a rectangle die just a little smaller than the diamond panel cut rectangle in upper portion of cardstock.

Step 4 Using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive attach panel over the colored piece then center behind rectangle opening and adhere.

Step 5 die cut Galvanized Bucket mine is cut from Tim Holtz grungeboard which has coloring of my antique galvanized buckets. Used gray and white ink for a bit of shading. Add Craft Perfect Dimensional Squares to center back of bucket and Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive around outer edges then adhere to bottom of diamond panel hold in place until adhesives adhere.

Step 6 Die cut Japanese Painted Fern from green cardstock add coloring using Magenta PanPastels. Adhere to card front in bucket.

Step 7 Cut 5 Susan's Garden Club Helleborous from white cardstock using alcohol markers in colors of your choice color/shade and shape. I punched small stars from green cardstock and built my flowers on them. Arrange in bucket once satisfied with arrangement adhere using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. Add leaves that have been cut from green cardstock then shaded and shaped. Add Lady Bug

Step 8 Die cut Happy from black cardstock (Suzanne Cannon's Happy Birthday 3 die set was used here). Die cut #'s from black cardstock. Adhere to card front.

Well I do hope this has inspired you to go create your own version of this card.
