Hello My Crafty Friends Welcome to My Blog!

Once again it is time for the ECD Designer Challenge.  The challenge this month is to use Joset's Blackboard Alphabet and/or Blackboard Numbers die sets.   The question for the $20.00 giveaway this month is  What Elizabeth Craft Designs die or stamp set would you use the Blackboard Alphabet or Blackboard Numbers die sets.   Be sure to visit Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog at this link to see all the creations our Design Team have created using these dies and to enter for a chance to win.

Here is how my card was created:

Step 1  Create card base 5" X 7".

Step 2  Cut patterned paper / cardstock 4-3/4" X 6-3/4" .  Using #6 square die of Susan's new Stitched Frame It Squares die set cut square into the right side of the patterned paper.  Adhere paper to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.  (Note: I number the back of my dies starting with smallest being #1)

Step 3  Mask around square opening then stipple inside the square with colors that match your paper.

Step 4  Die cut 2 mugs using Joset's new Summer Drink die set and clear cardstock . mylar with Clear Double Sided Adhesive on back.  Die cut umbrella, orange slices, straw and ice cubes from white Soft Finish Cardstock color with markers.

Step 5  Using Joset's Blackboard Alphabet and Blackboard Numbers cut twice HAPPY and 60th from black cardstock with Clear Double Sided Adhesive on back.  Stack letters and numbers then adhere inside square opening.

Step 6  Using an orange alcohol marker color top mug about 3/4 of way to top.  Add ice cubes and orange slices to back of top mug.  Adhere top mug to bottom mug ( add a bit of  Clear Double Sided Adhesive to back of orange slices and ice cubes).   Add umbrella and straw done through the mug top opening.  Adhere mug to left side of card front.  Add half orange slice and pop 1 full orange slice.

Good Morning Everyone!  Sorry it has been so long since I have posted but I have been busy getting ready to go to Creative Keepsake Convention and then going to convention. I had a great time taking classes, shopping, eating and enjoying great friends. My post today is using one of Susan's Garden new dies and one of Karen Burniston's pop up dies.  It was hard to get a good clear picture because of the shine from the glitter. Card base is an A2 size card (4-1/4 X 5-1/2) 1.  Panel is made by using Karen Burniston's accordion rectangle die.  Attach a piece of sticker paper  4-1/2 X 5-3/4 to a pc of white cardstock the same size using clear double sided adhesive. Cut 1 frame from this.  Cut the rectangle and tabs from center of frame and the long tab on the left edge of the frame. Run this frame through Sizzix machine using Hearts Entwined embossing folder (or other embossing folder of your choice)  Peel the paper from the front of the frame ( protective paper covering adhesive

Family Birthday Cards

Welcome my crafty friends! Today I have a couple birthday cards I did for our grandson and my hubby.  Our grandson and hubby share their birthday - grandson was best birthday gift ever. Our grandson turned 18 and he loves to fish he has a boat and fishes when he is not working.  Hubby turned 79 and loves his John Deere tractor.   Cards are both 6" X 6" and I used a combination of dies and Cricut to make my cards. The pop up mechanism was same for both it was an old die set of Karen Burniston when she was with Elizabeth Craft Designs - Bathtub Pop Up.  Another time I would reshape the bathtub into a boat but I had already hand cut the boat then went looking for a die set that had a pop up mechanism to use kind of like putting the cart before the horse. KB Riley  1003  Word 2 Birthday, 1031 Numbers and 1049 Camping Charms  were used.  The fisherman, fish and the silhouette of boat and fisherman were cut on Cricut.  Hooked On Fishing was  cut from a top strip of design paper fro

Survivor Pink Sunflower and Berries

  Hello my crafty friends! Another Breast Cancer Survivor card that I created in October.  Once again I used Spellbinders Susan's Garden Sunflower, Acacia and Berry Branch and for this card Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Lisette Oval Shadowbox Frame die set. My card base is 5" X 7" made from 100# white cardstock.  Embossed layer is 4-3/4" X 6-3/4" white cardstock.  I used a swiss dot embossing folder (it is an old 8-1/2" X 11" embossing folder - I have used it so much it is taped together now).  This piece was attached to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive .  Using the Lisette Oval Shadowbox Frame 2  largest dies I cut 1 from pink cardstock adhered to card front using Bearly Art Glue.   I printed sentiment on white cardstock then die cut using the next 2 dies from Lisette die set then attached to card front using dimensional tape.
