Elegant Labels with Glads

Welcome my crafty friends!

Here is my third Breast Cancer Survivor Card hard to believe how many people I know that has been affected by this horrible disease and so glad many are survivors.  I truly love making these cards for people each year sending them love.

Card 3 is  5" X 7"adorned with Susan's Garden Gladiolus.

Card base formed from white cardstock then front was embossed using Delicate Dots by Craftwell.  I use this embossing folder a lot I love it as it 8-1/2 X 11.

Spellbinders Elegant Labels 4 die set (Don't think this is available from Spellbinders anymore but there are plenty of other dies that could be used) was used to cut shapes from white cardstock as well as the largest die to cut a solid pink label shape.  The white label pieces were adhered over the pink label using Bearly Art Glue.

Using Susan's Garden Berry Basket & Gladiolus die set I cut 6 flowers from Susan's Garden Specialty Paper.  Leaves and 4 stems were cut from green cardstock.  Flowers were colored then shaped using Susan's Garden Deluxe Tool Kit.  Stems were doubled up and glued together using Kids Choice Glue then buds were cut off top of one and just the stem was glued to bottom of stem that still had buds extending it to accommodate the extra flowers.  The leaves were shaded and shaped.

Flower was assembled in center of card using Kids Choice Glue starting with stem then adding flowers and lastly the leaves.  Susan has a YouTube video showing how to create the flowers which you can find here.

The small pink ribbon was die cut from pink cardstock using an old Suzanne Cannon - A Way With Words die set called Hope.

For the inside I cut the largest label from pink cardstock then smaller one from white cardstock on which I stamped sentiment using black Momento ink then adhering to center of inside of card.  Sentiment is from Essentials By Ellen Ellen Hutson Courage Stamp & Die Set from a few years ago proceeds went to Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

I have linked many items below that was used in creating this card.  If you click on any one of them it will take you to site where you can purchase them at no extra cost to you but it gives me a small commission which helps to defray my cost.  Thank you for any purchase no matter how small or large but please don't feel like you must.

Thanks for stopping by today and I do hope that I have inspired you to be creative!

Until next time - Happy crafting and Get those mammograms!!!
