Double Z Fold Lantern Card

 




Hello My Crafty Friends - Welcome to my blog.

Today my card is a Double Z Fold card with Susan's new Garden Lantern w/ Candle, Poinsettia, Winterberry and Pine Boughs.  Another fun fold card to create and show off Susan's new Christmas Release.

Base is white cardstock 6" X 12" scored at 3" and 6" mountain fold at 3" score line valley fold at 6" score line.  Brown ink used on all edges.  2 pc of red cardstock cut 2-3/4" by 5-3/4" and 1 pc 5-3/4" square adhere red cardstock pcs to card base using Clear Double Sided Adhesive. 3 pc of pattern paper 2 cut 2-1/2" X 5-1/2" and 1 pc cut 5-1/2" square adhere to red cardstock using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.  White cardstock cut 4-1/2" X 9" scored at 3" and 6"  edged with brown ink 3" score mountain fold valley fold at 6" score.  3 pc of red cardstock cut 2-3/4" X 4-1/4" adhered to white cardstock using Clear Double Sided Adhesive. Cut 1 pc of pattern paper 2-1/2" X 4"  cut 1 pc white cardstock the same.  On white cardstock sentiment stamped in black ink sentiment from the new Christmas Release.  Adhere using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Susan's new Garden Lantern was cut from shiny cardstock lightly scored down middle following line.
Top final and latch cut in silver cardstock added to lantern using Kids Choice Glue.  Mica sheets were trimmed then attached to back side of lantern as windows using Kids Choice Glue.  Candle was cut from white cardstock then shaded and attached with dimensional tape to card front.  Lantern was attached over candle using Kids Choice Glue.  Susan's YouTube video for the lantern can be found here.

Poinsettia was cut from Susan's Specialty Cardstock colored with alcohol markers and shaped using Susan's Deluxe Tool Kit.  Leaves were cut from green cardstock shaded and shaped.  Winterberry and Pine Boughs were cut from green cardstock then shaded and shaped.  Winterberry Leaves were coated with Nouvo Crystal Glaze and set aside to dry.  Berries are foam beads colored with acrylic paint added to base using Kids Choice Glue.  Using Kids Choice Glue add Pine Boughs, Winterberry and lastly Poinsettia to lower left of Garden Lantern.  Very center of Poinsettia was colored using Nouvo Drops - red, green and yellow.  Susan's YouTube Video for Poinsettia and Winterberry can be found here.
