Pussy Willows & Daffodils






Hello My Crafty Friends,

Hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy.

Today I have a sympathy card I made for a friend - always hard card to make.

My card was created using Susan's Garden Notes Canning Jar & Lid, Garden Notes Daffodil / Narcissus along with Garden Notes Stitched Frame It- Squares.

Here is how it was created.

Step 1  Card base is 6" X 6" white cardstock

Step 2  Create a background piece.  Mine was created using  several colors of Nuvo Embellishment Mousse.

Step 3  Using a coordinating cardstock to cut a frame using Susan's Garden Notes Stitched Frame It Squares (use two largest together to cut frame).  Using Clear Double Sided Adhesive attach frame over background piece.  Adhere the piece to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Step 4  Cut Susan's Garden Note Canning Jar twice once from white cardstock that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive on back and one from Clear Sticker Paper.  Adhere the clear jar on top of white jar.  Using a Dotted Embossing Folder to give it that milk glass look.  Add dimensional dots to center back adhere to card front leaving jar top opening open.

Step 5  Create 2 or 3 stems of pussy willows there is a short tutorial here on my blog for making them.

Step 6  Cut, color and shape 3 daffodils using Susan's Garden Notes Daffodil / Narcissus die set.  See Susan's video here.

Step 7  Add pussy willows to jar using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 8  Add Daffodils and their leaves to jar top using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 9  Stamp your sentiment on white cardstock then die cut with shape that fits sentiment then one size larger to give a mat adhere them together add to card front using dimensional tape.

Easy card that can be used for many different occasions - hope this has been an inspiration for you.

Good Morning Everyone!  Sorry it has been so long since I have posted but I have been busy getting ready to go to Creative Keepsake Convention and then going to convention. I had a great time taking classes, shopping, eating and enjoying great friends. My post today is using one of Susan's Garden new dies and one of Karen Burniston's pop up dies.  It was hard to get a good clear picture because of the shine from the glitter. Card base is an A2 size card (4-1/4 X 5-1/2) 1.  Panel is made by using Karen Burniston's accordion rectangle die.  Attach a piece of sticker paper  4-1/2 X 5-3/4 to a pc of white cardstock the same size using clear double sided adhesive. Cut 1 frame from this.  Cut the rectangle and tabs from center of frame and the long tab on the left edge of the frame. Run this frame through Sizzix machine using Hearts Entwined embossing folder (or other embossing folder of your choice)  Peel the paper from the front of the frame ( protective paper covering adhesive

Family Birthday Cards

Welcome my crafty friends! Today I have a couple birthday cards I did for our grandson and my hubby.  Our grandson and hubby share their birthday - grandson was best birthday gift ever. Our grandson turned 18 and he loves to fish he has a boat and fishes when he is not working.  Hubby turned 79 and loves his John Deere tractor.   Cards are both 6" X 6" and I used a combination of dies and Cricut to make my cards. The pop up mechanism was same for both it was an old die set of Karen Burniston when she was with Elizabeth Craft Designs - Bathtub Pop Up.  Another time I would reshape the bathtub into a boat but I had already hand cut the boat then went looking for a die set that had a pop up mechanism to use kind of like putting the cart before the horse. Survivor Pink Sunflower and Berries

  Hello my crafty friends! Another Breast Cancer Survivor card that I created in October.  Once again I used Spellbinders Susan's Garden Sunflower, Acacia and Berry Branch and for this card Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Lisette Oval Shadowbox Frame die set. My card base is 5" X 7" made from 100# white cardstock.  Embossed layer is 4-3/4" X 6-3/4" white cardstock.  I used a swiss dot embossing folder (it is an old 8-1/2" X 11" embossing folder - I have used it so much it is taped together now).  This piece was attached to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive .  Using the Lisette Oval Shadowbox Frame 2  largest dies I cut 1 from pink cardstock adhered to card front using Bearly Art Glue.   I printed sentiment on white cardstock then die cut using the next 2 dies from Lisette die set then attached to card front using dimensional tape.
