Hooked Mittens




Hi there wishing you all a very Happy  & Prosperous New Year!.  Since I mainly post my handmade cards I decided that today I would post some of my rug hooking another passion I have.  Rug Hooked mittens I finally finished off this year. The pattern id by Toni Phibrick owner of The Keeping Room in Hampden, Maine. They are missing their bows but I am thinking they don't look too bad without them.  I have one more to do and that one will be for me.

Triple Diamond Point with Lavender Mountain Daisy

Hello my crafty friends! My card today is call a Triple Diamond Point which I found on Sam Calcutt YouTube channel.  I have created the card pretty much as Sam did but I used flowers from Spellbinders Susan's Garden Through the Meadow Collection .  I used S2-414 Lavender Mountain Daisy , an older Berry Branch and some Grape Hyacinth I created myself.  Also from Spellbinders I used E3D-033 Beveled Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder and Spellbinders Better Press BP-025 Always & Forever Sentiment Strips.   The card is a 6" X 6" here is Sam's video for creating this card.  Triple Diamond Point Using Susan's Garden Specialty Paper I cut 3 of the Lavender Mountain Daisies and colored with Olo Alcohol Markers V2.3 and 2.4.   I used watercolor paper for the foliage colored them with  YG-8.5 & 8.7 I then shaped them using Susan's Garden Deluxe Tool Kit .  Susan's video for creating these flowers can be found here . Basket of Paperwhites

  Hello my crafty friends! Today I have a slimline card for you and will say right up front I wish I had put basket at the bottom of the card as I normally would but was trying to mix things up a bit.   I created  card using Spellbinders Susan's Garden  S4-1364 Paperwhites from Winters Grace Collection along with S4-1115 Gathering Basket from Holiday Collection.     Spellbinders S6-186 Fluted Classic Slimline dies were used to cut frame.  Spellbinders / Simon Hurley E3D-080 Woven 3D Embossing Folder was used on the basket to emphasize the basket weave.  Spellbinders S4-201 (small) and S4-202 (large) Deckled Rectangle dies were used for sentiment. Card base is 4" X 9" and designer paper was cut 3-1/4" X 7-3/4" adhered to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive .  Using the 3 largest dies from the  Fluted Classic Slimline Die Set a frame was cut from green cardstock.  Bearly Art Glue was used to adhere the frame over t...

Strawberry Vanilla Hydrangea

Good Morning Everyone!  Sorry it has been so long since I have posted but I have been busy getting ready to go to Creative Keepsake Convention and then going to convention. I had a great time taking classes, shopping, eating and enjoying great friends. My post today is using one of Susan's Garden new dies and one of Karen Burniston's pop up dies.  It was hard to get a good clear picture because of the shine from the glitter. Card base is an A2 size card (4-1/4 X 5-1/2) 1.  Panel is made by using Karen Burniston's accordion rectangle die.  Attach a piece of sticker paper  4-1/2 X 5-3/4 to a pc of white cardstock the same size using clear double sided adhesive. Cut 1 frame from this.  Cut the rectangle and tabs from center of frame and the long tab on the left edge of the frame.
